Polestaff Case Study: Municipal Sustainability Plan This is a group assignment worth x% of your total mark for this course, and is to be submitted to your instructor shortly after you have completed the n lesson in the course.
This assignment will address the following Program and Course Learning Outcomes (Essentail Competancies): - Policy Development;
- Service Delivery;
- Strategic Leadership;
- Democratic Responsiveness:
- Organizational Planning and Management; and
- Communication.
To complete this assignment, you are to: - Outline a process for the development and implementation of a Municipal Sustainability Plan (MSP);
- Summarize the information that needs to be assembled to validate and implement the MSP;
- Identify the key stakeholders and their roles and responsibilities in respect of the MSP;
- Identify the tools that can be used to collect that information; and
- Prepare a preliminary timeline for the analysis and proposal development stages of the project..
General Instructions: - Students are asked to organize themselves into groups of six to complete this assignment and inform the instructor of the group members. The instructor will assist with this process if necessary.
- Each student's grade for the assignment will be based on two factors:
- A group mark assigned by the instructor for the final product; and
- An individual mark based on a student's contributions to their group's activity, as assessed individually (and anonomously) by the other members of the group, using the rubric as outlined below.
- The assignment is to prepare a report to the municipal Council to address the issues outlined in the Polestaff Case Study
- The assignment report is to be submitted to the instructor not later than dd/mm/yyyy.
