- Describe at least 3 major factors contributing to changes in the scope of practice for Local Government Administrators;
- Outline at least 5 new roles and responsibilities for Local Government Administrators, with particular emphasis on leadership and management roles; and,
- Assess the importance and utility of explicit leadership training for you in your various roles as a Local Government Administrator, a professional, a member of the community and a family member.
General Instructions: - The purpose of this assignment is to reinforce how the roles and responsibilities of Local Government Administrators have been evolving into a more complex set of responsibilities, including important leadership and management functions. A clear understanding of these changes is essential for anyone entering into a career as a Local Government Administrator as well as for practicing Local Government Administrators who need to continue their professional development to stay current with changes in their field and to prepare themselves for advancement.
- Using the information in your textbook, readings and information from the internet or other sources, write a two to three page paper that answers the 4 questions posed above.
- The paper should be typed in Arial or Times Roman font, size 11 or 12, double spaced with page margins of 1" (top, bottom and sides), and should have a cover page (title page) that includes the title of the paper, the name of the student, the date submitted, name of the course, and name of the instructor.
- A list of References, correctly formatted as per the APA Style Guide, should also be included. (Title page and Bibliography are not included in the page count for the assignment)
